The Pottomers [24 Oct 2006|08:42pm]

taraxoxo
In the beginning,
Rondi and Fondi were both
Poor little girls from
The town of Pottom.

In those times,
Every person from Pottom
Was considered dirty, and denied
A chance in anything.
Rondi and Fondi,
Being ambitious people,
Could their luck be worse?

But they wouldn't give up,
Rondi thought she was
A special one, while
Fondi believed in a mission
To make the world
A fair place for everyone.
And in the end,
They beat the odds,
Both became the top people
Of their times.

In those times,
Every person from Pottom
Was considered dirty, and denied
A chance in anything.
Rondi and Fondi,
Just by not giving up,
They turned the situation around.

They were given a chance
To join the controllers
Who determined who was worthy or not.
Rondi sensed that this was destiny,
She accepted it gladly.
Together they ruled over millions,
Injecting fear into the everyday lives
Of those peoples whose turn it have come
To be the unclean ones,
As the cycle goes on.
Fondi could not forget who these people really were,
And refused to do their dirty deeds.
Instead, out of her heart
Came a movement that would bring
A good life for every living being.

In these times,
The people from Sena had taken the place
That the Pottomers had for centuries
Of being considered dirty, and denied
A chance in anything.
Rondi and Fondi,
Both are now free to fly,
They decided to take very different paths.

It wasn't an easy path,
But Fondi fought on and on,
And her idea grew.
Gradually, love and sanity triumphed over
Blind adherence to oppression,
And that was the end of the controllers.
Senians, amongst others, were liberated,
But they were not the only ones celebrating,
For they had all realised
How much better it is
To have a life where we can all be
Mutual friends,
And where we all shave a stake
And a hope in the world we live in.

Finally it's now all over,
The vicious cycle where one group after another
Were considered dirty, and denied
A chance in anything.
Most caved in like Rondi,
But Fondi and her dreamers,
They made the impossible a reality.

What are you Looking For? [24 Oct 2006|08:41pm]

taraxoxo
Looking at your life,
And it seems like a mess.
You've come so far in your journey,
But it still seems like a trap.
Remember the hope you had,
As you headed out to come here?
But now it seems hard to imagine,
Why you were so happy then.

You've got to ask yourself
"What am I looking for?"
When it seems that you are still missing out on
What you Most wanted to have.
It may be a more colorful life,
It may be just that colour you are missing.
But whatever it is,
You know you've got to find it out.

This is the Million dollar question,
The one that will spark a revolution,
Your ticket to get to the place
That you ought to be at.

You've got to ask yourself
"What am I looking for?"
When it seems that you are still missing out on
What you Most wanted to have.
It may be the people who you'll truly feel at home with,
It may be a dose of love.
But whatever it is,
You know you've got to find it out.

And when you finally find out,
What a great feeling it would be,
Now you can finally set yourself free,
Finally knowing where it is,
That you truly have to get to.

You've got to ask yourself
"What am I looking for?"
When it seems that you are still missing out on
What you Most wanted to have.
It may be the thing that will complete your world,
It may be the thing you have always wanted to do.
But whatever it is,
You know you've got to find it out.

poetry [14 Oct 2006|09:04pm]

this is a poem I wrote

A stolen smile parades
Upon her rosebud lips
Her ivory fingers
resemble water lilies
tempting the passerby
The night is more beautiful
Than the day
For the illusion disappears
And the sun is forgotten
She whispers to no one
Befriending the void with every word
Rebel against the light
You stole my name

Your Very Own 'A Christmas Carol' [23 Dec 2004|08:26am]

Alright, fun little thing I thought of in the shower...think about Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" then imagine yourself as Ebaneezer Scrooge; now take one of your Friends and imagine what that version of "A Christmas Carol" would be like if he/she directed. Would the lessons Scrooge learns be different? Or would he (you) spend the entire night packing a ray gun and fighting aliens?

It doesn't have to be very long, just a few sentences or two if that's all you feel, or you can do more than one Friend.

Inspiration [21 Dec 2004|11:57am]

blindlyinnocent
What motivates you? What inspires you?

Go out and find something new to do that. The holidays are coming up soon, so it might be a new bauble you receive, it might be a relative you never used to talk to but turns out went on Safaris in Africa for 20 years, it might be a new home improvement store with great free paint samples.

By injecting your environment with new and shiny inspiration, you'll be all geared up to start writing and creating.

Need more ideas? Go to Muse Muggers (or make it a syndicated feed to you LJ!) at http://www.feath.com/idea/prev/archive/63.htm for more ways to get your brain moving.

blindlyinnocent
So you've all heard of the NaNoWriMo.org Novel-in-a-month challange that concludes today. Their idea was to get people to write a 50,000 word novel in a month - the month of November. Young Bohemians is sponsoring a similar yet different challange; Write a Screen-Play in January!

The challange is to write a 90-page 90-minute screen play, but only from january 1 through January 31.The format is so different from a novel that we will be having all sorts of links and guides posted here to help you along!

More rules and tips will follow, but keep you're eye on this space for more news!
